Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication

October 6, 2023

Hello again! In today’s website walkthrough I’m going to quickly show you how to enable multi-factor authentication on your MO Deferred Comp account. Multi-factor authentication or MFA adds an additional layer of security to your account by sending a one-time code to your email or phone number. This extra security step helps keep unwanted hackers out of your account and your hard-saved dollars safe. So to enable MFA, you’ll need to make sure you have a mobile phone number and email address on file within your deferred comp account. You can do this by navigating to My Profile at the top of the page within Account Access and clicking the blue “Edit” button under Address and Personal Information. Once you’ve added a mobile number and email, log out of your account, and log back in. A pop-up will appear asking you where you would like your security code to go, and you’ll have the option to send it to either the mobile number or email you have on file. Type the code into the box, then click the Login button. You should now be safely logged into your account. I hope this short walkthrough was helpful. Be sure to check out more tutorials and educational videos on our website and if you have any questions feel free to contact the MO Deferred Comp Plan.
