Hi my name is Tammara Carter. I'm a financial education professional with the Missouri deferred compensation plan. I cover the St. Louis, St. Charles areas into the southeast region of the state. I think saving for retirement is so important because we all have to get to a phase in life in which we say we don't want to work anymore. So how do we enjoy that phase of life? We have to save for it. Saving for retirement through the MO Deferred Compensation Plan is a great asset to our plan participants. It provides low cost custom investment options as well as the resources are just unmatchable. We offer education series both virtually and in person. I come from an environment where resources were limited so being able to be out and speaking with plan participants, answering those questions, getting those concerns off of the table I think is a huge component to participating in the plan. My favorite part about being a financial education professional is in the title. I love to be able to educate the state of Missouri employees on the value of investing. I've been able to acquire quite a bit of knowledge over the years so i just want to be able to share that information with all the participants that I speak with.
