2016 State Employee Recognition Day
Are you ready to slide head first into retirement planning? Beginning May 26 and running up until State Employee Recognition Day on June 9, MO Deferred Comp, alongside retirement providers MPERS and MOSERS, will be hosting the MO Retirement Series game. Designed for MPERS and MOSERS members at all career stages, this fun contest will challenge you to learn more about valuable retirement benefits. Those who complete the game by 11:59 p.m., June 9, 2016, will earn a free 24. oz. tumbler and be entered in the MO Deferred Comp Plan’s random prize drawing at State Employee Recognition Day.

Here’s how it works.
Visit either mosers.org or mpers.org (depending on your pension plan) or modeferredcomp.org and download a MO Retirement Series scorecard. You’ll use this fillable PDF to keep track of your answers to retirement-related questions. Beginning on May 26, MO Deferred Comp will post the first question on its Facebook and Twitter feeds. The questions will also be shared on MOSERS’ and MPERS’ social media platforms and posted to their respective websites. An additional question will be posted each business day leading up to State Employee Recognition Day on June 9, 2016. Remember to only answer the pension questions related to your pension plan, MOSERS or MPERS.
Once you answer all of the questions, you can then submit your entry online at mosers.org, mpers.org or modeferredcomp.org. Remember that you may also submit your scorecard by email (modeferredcomp@modeferredcomp.org) or fax (573-632-6143), or by handing it in at the State Employee Recognition Day event at the state capitol on June 9, 2016.
Receiving a Giveaway
Once the contest is over, MO Deferred Comp education specialists will schedule designated giveaway drop-off dates at various locations across the state. If you are due a giveaway, you will receive an email with detailed instructions about when and where to pick them up. Please be patient following the contest as our team works through the entries! If you work in the Jefferson City area, you may also pick up your giveaway at the deferred comp plan’s local office at 3349 American Ave, Ste A, which is off Wildwood Dr. behind Lowes.
About the Random Prize Drawing
Following the contest, employees who submitted scorecards or shared a MO Retirement Series social media post will also be entered in a random prize drawing, which includes restaurant gift cards and a free Goal-Specific Financial Plan (a $175 value).
